Daytour from Reykjavík to the farming district of Borgarfjörður, visiting the geothermical area of Deildartunguhver and the waterfall of Hraunfossar. Onwards through the woodlands of Húsafell and up to the desert highlands by Langjökull glacier.

At the roots of the glacier we board our Ice Explorer which will take you to the top of Europe‘s second largest glacier Langjökull. We will explore the glacier and experience the unique travelling on top of the snow on a thick solid glacier. We will learn about its movements and see cravaces, caves and how the smelting water forms rivers and lagoons. Furthermore we will see how the glacier is smelting because of the global warming.

The highland track Kaldidalur will take us to the national park of Þingvellir and back to Reykjavík.
